Norauto at the forefront of electric vehicle maintenance
Norauto offers a comprehensive maintenance package for electrified vehicles, backed by upskilled teams and new workshop equipment.
Norauto is investing in new skills and equipment suited to the latest generations of electrified vehicles. In workshops, teams also benefit from the support of a technical hotline, giving them expertise and tools comparable to those of manufacturers. This is valuable support for offering a complete and reliable maintenance service for electrified vehicles. To handle this new way of working on electrified vehicles, Norauto is upskilling its staff. All workshop teams now hold the B0L certification, which raises awareness of the risks associated with these vehicles and enables them to carry out maintenance work: tire replacements, servicing, battery state-of-health (SOH) checks and air conditioning work. For more specific operations involving high-voltage components, most centers have qualified electrotechnicians and mechatronics technicians on staff. They are responsible for diagnosing and repairing electrical and electronic systems respectively, and hold more advanced certifications such as B2VL and BCL. Trained on electric vehicles, they are qualified to work safely on these systems.
Partnerships with manufacturers
This upskilling has also enabled Norauto to forge partnerships with manufacturers of fully electric vehicles, for which the chain now provides after-sales service at several centers. In recent months, work on electrified vehicles has increased at Norauto centers, particularly for faults affecting electrical components such as the battery pack or the inverter. Thanks to close cooperation between workshop teams and the research and development department, these complex operations have been carried out successfully. Some partnerships even allow these operations to fit into a circular economy approach, favoring the repair or refurbishment of parts rather than systematically replacing them with new ones — a more sustainable and cost-effective solution for customers. With the ongoing development of skills, equipment and infrastructure, Norauto is now able to offer a complete maintenance package for electrified vehicles.
What developments lie ahead?
Norauto intends to support drivers through the transition to more electric mobility, anticipating market developments and the new needs that come with them. The research and development department is working in particular on adapting the offering to emerging challenges: the gradual shift from mechanical to electronic systems, component repairability, and the growing connectivity of vehicles. The ambition remains the same: to offer solutions in line with customer expectations and technological change, all while preserving the Norauto model built on proximity, speed and accessibility.
