Building on nearly twenty years developing embedded systems for major European automakers and equipment suppliers, the French group Dunasys is structuring and highlighting its telematics business under the Dunasys Telematics brand. Unlike standardized market solutions, Dunasys adapts its solution to the client's needs rather than the other way around, thanks to full control over hardware, embedded software and supervision platforms.
Automotive expertise applied to fleet management
What fundamentally sets Dunasys apart from its competitors is the depth of its embedded expertise. Where most telematics market players come from the SaaS or distribution world, Dunasys grew out of automotive engineering. Several million kilometers of testing, original-equipment automotive projects and a rare mastery of the entire chain (hardware, embedded software, connectivity and supervision platform) allow it to handle complex projects. Dunasys can offer, through a single point of contact, its own in-house designed telematics units, a proprietary software platform, integration with recognized partner platforms, custom development and embedded R&D.
Full control over the fleet
Thanks to rugged telematics units designed for demanding environments, Dunasys continuously collects a fleet's strategic data: location, fuel/energy consumption, service alerts and driving behavior. This information is centralized on a platform that turns raw data into concrete decisions. Real-time tracking provides a precise, instant view of the entire fleet, helping reduce downtime and optimize vehicle use. Predictive-analysis AI algorithms also detect anomalies before a breakdown occurs, reducing unplanned downtime. Customizable dashboards, clear key indicators and automated reports round out the system.
All-in-one car-sharing
Dunasys also offers an all-in-one car-sharing solution, combining real-time geolocation, remote unlocking via smartphone or RFID badge, and driver identification. Booking is centralized, access is available around the clock, and vehicle allocation is automated, with no physical key management required. This system enables resource pooling, a reduction in the number of vehicles needed, and better-controlled TCO.
A modular offering
Dunasys designs a full range of telematics units: the DCar-E for everyday reliability and control, the DCar-S combining car-sharing and fleet management, the DCar-BT for Bluetooth connectivity of unconnected vehicles, and a custom unit dedicated to electric rickshaw fleets. These units work with Dunasys's proprietary platform or with recognized partner platforms (Openfleet, Fleeti, Ontomantics, Geoclic) selected on a project-by-project basis. The whole system is deployed with dedicated support, responsive French customer service, and data fully compliant with GDPR.
