50five accelerates its growth in France with a strengthened leadership team

50five is strengthening its position in the French electric mobility market with the appointment of Tanguy Leiglon as Sales Director. His arrival rounds out the French leadership team, headed by Stef Meers, General Manager of 50five France. An already solid foundation 50five has been present in France since May 2025, following the takeover of Shell Recharge Solutions' installed base of residential and workplace charging infrastructure. Since then, the French organization has ensured continuity of service for existing customers while expanding its offering and developing new projects and partnerships. Founded in the Netherlands and backed since 2022 by investors advised by J.P. Morgan Asset Management, 50five has established itself among the leading charge point operators (CPOs) and electric mobility service providers in Europe. The 50five group operates in 12 countries and manages more than 160,000 active charging points. To date, its platforms have processed more than 44 million charging sessions and delivered more than 803 million kWh of energy. Today, 50five France supports businesses, fleet managers, multi-site organizations, public-sector players and electric mobility partners with a full range of services: design and installation of charging infrastructure, supervision and management, operations, maintenance, smart charging and intelligent energy management. "50five already has a solid operational base in France. So we are not entering the French market today: we are moving into the next phase of our development," says Stef Meers. Strengthening the French organization As Sales Director, Tanguy Leiglon will be tasked with accelerating 50five's commercial growth and building lasting partnerships across the French B2B, B2B2C and public-sector markets. "The French electric charging market is entering a new phase. Customers increasingly expect reliable operations, continuity of service and intelligent energy management throughout the lifecycle of their charging infrastructure," explains Tanguy Leiglon. With a strengthened leadership team, solid local expertise and the backing of a pan-European organization, 50five is well positioned to support more French businesses and public organizations in their transition to electric mobility. Its ambition: to be a long-term partner in electric mobility and energy, alongside its customers throughout the entire lifecycle of their charging infrastructure.
